Building on Toronto Metropolitan University’s long commitment to providing
excellence in postsecondary education, we are launching our first
international branch campus in partnership with UCE. Beginning with programs
in Communication, Design and Engineering, it will eventually be the home to
almost ‎5,000 students in the New Administrative Capital in Egypt. To lead and
expand this important and exciting new initiative, Toronto Metropolitan
University is seeking an experienced and inspirational administrator to serve
as the Chief Administrative Officer (and designated Head of Branch [HoB]).


Reporting to Toronto Metropolitan University’s Provost and Vice President
Academic, the CAO will be the University’s designated Cairo campus management
committee representative in Egypt. The inaugural CAO will be responsible for
overseeing the strategic and administrative functions of the Toronto
Metropolitan University’s Cairo Branch program, leading and managing a
successful relationship with the UCE community, including Senior Management,
and will act as Toronto Metropolitan University’s designated representative to
the Government of Egypt (the HoB functional responsibility). The CAO will
build core enabling functions and infrastructure essential to the successful
delivery of Toronto Metropolitan University’s distinct mission and will make
significant contributions to strategy and decision-making to support and
enhance performance across the organization. This individual will also be
responsible for ensuring Toronto Metropolitan University’s compliance with all
Government rules and regulations. The CAO will support the Provost in the
leadership, management, and effective operation of Toronto Metropolitan
University – Cairo Campus. The individual who serves in this role will fulfill
principal responsibilities as the Chief Administrative Officer as well as
their functional responsibility as the Cairo Campus’ designated Head of
Branch.
