About the Role
We are looking for an outstanding, dynamic and inspiring Academic Director
to join our new Prime National School located in 6th of October - Giza, School
will open its doors to students in September 2023, while the Academic Director
position is effective from September 2022.
The successful candidate will play a major role on the Senior Leadership Team
in driving forward the whole school; strategically, Academically and
operationally.
Consistently instill the school 's mission, vision and core values and ensures
their implementation in the school's life.
Reports To: Prime National Schools Director - Cluster Lead
Job Description:
* Administering and coordinating academic programs, such as designing curricula and teaching classes
* Overseeing admissions processes and procedures to ensure that all students meet admissions standards
* Developing and implementing academic policies, procedures, and standards for staff members and students to follow
* Reviewing student records to ensure compliance with school policies, procedures, and standards
* Develop individual and/or group plans to help students succeed academically according to students' history & ability levels
* Approve and advise on yearly books & library resources orders
* Supervise teachers, librarians, and other support staff
* Work actively with teachers to maintain high curriculum standards
* Establish performance goals and objectives
* Visit classrooms and observe teaching methods
* Review instructional objectives and adjust accordingly
* Assist visitors on school campuses
* Prepare her/his input for school reports, letters, and other documents
* Coordinate office services for implementing and updating
* Interview and recruit teachers for appropriate departments
* Select student and teacher of the month awards
* Plan faculty meetings, orientations, training and workshops
* Support and participate in community related activities
* Coordinate with other Departments in sharing other educational and instructional ideas
* Develop educational process and policies to meet curriculum goals
* Provide training to teachers on latest instructional technology and technique
* Develop unique and interactive educational programs and courses for students
* Manage resources, administrative staffs
* Develop and implement academic enhancement programs for students
* Maintain rapport with parents
* Schedule regular meetings with staff members
Required qualifications:
* Expat or dual nationality with excellent command of English
* Education: Post-graduate degree
* 5 years experience in a similar role
* Knowledge and experience with British and American curricula.
* Knowing the Egyptian National education curriculum is preferable
* Fluent Arabic speaker
