Project Description:
The WESE program is five-year USAID-funded project designed to engage,
leverage, and partner with the private sector as well as public social service
initiatives to encourage women 's participation in the workforce; generate
demand for financial services; promote tailored, market-based solutions to
women's economic empowerment; and strengthen GBV prevention and response such
that women become more economically and socially resilient.
WESE activities integrate, mutually reinforcing private and public sector-
led approaches that aim to change power relationships, transform
structures, and build agency to effect results along critical change
pathways. The program interventions are designed to lead women in priority
governorates feeling safe, valued, and empowered at work; motivated and able
to embrace financial autonomy; and respected and free from violence in their
homes, communities, and workplaces.
The program works closely with market-based partners to develop, lead,
scale, sustain, and champion innovative solutions, recognizing the economic
AND social benefits of gender-inclusive, empowering policies and practices.
Job Summary:
The Office Expeditor and Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing
essential clerical, logistical and administrative functions to assist staff,
visitors and consultants including visiting Pathfinder International
personnel. The expeditor is expected to be strongly familiar with GOE
agencies, procedures and requirements to facilitate project functions..
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
* Provide administrative support to the project with GOE offices;
* Assist in handling all administrative tasks with all GOE institutions including handing over and expediting letters from/to MOSS, USAID, Social Insurance, Tax Department, Labor Office and others as relevant;
* Expedite paperwork with GOE counterparts and obtain documents and approvals for project activities;
* Maintain good working relationships with stakeholders;
* Liaise with customs to clear goods after meeting customs requirements;
* Wok with GOE tax authorities on project VAT exemption certificates;
* Support finance department with local bank transactions including payments to vendors, social insurance and tax authorities;
* Handle tasks with the telecommunication companies (phones and internet);
* Help in identifying vendors and procuring items needed for the project;
* Provide administrative support during the organization of project events, meetings and related activities across governorates,
* Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
* Diploma OR any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience with USAID funded projects performing a similar function;
* Tactful with excellent communication and problem solving skills and perseverance to get things done;
* Fair knowledge of English Is preferable;
* High level of responsibility and integrity;
* Demonstrated ability to work in teams.

Effort, Reporting and Other Administrative Requirements:
The Expeditor is a full-time position that reports to the HR & Administration
Manager who will coordinate all aspects of his/her employment, including but
not limited to job description, duties, qualifications, working environment,
and performance.
Working Environment:
This position will interact with all WESE staff, counterparts and GOE
authorities. Will require travel to various locations within Egypt,
specifically WESE defined governorates.
