Job role and responsibility

• Assists in the preparation of the Integrated Management System (IMS: ISO ‎9001, ISO ‎14001 & OHSAS ‎18001 standards) Certification


• Proposes Standard Operating Procedures and other system requirements


• Conducts on site toolbox meetings


• Conducts on site inspections


• Works closely with departments and makes sure all procedures are properly communicated


• Responsible of the continuous improvement of quality of services, health & safety of employees & the environment


• Assists in the IMS audits and recommends improvement to existing procedures


• Draws action plans and programs to attain objectives and effectively implement the formulated corrective actions


• Plans for awareness on the IMS standards and the policies and procedures


• Supervises the program of suppliers & subcontractors' audits


• Receives suggestions to reduce waste and increase efficiency from different departments and approves their implementation where needed


• Investigates on the improvement methods applied by the competitors to make sure the company is working as effectively as possible


• Ensures that QHSE Objectives set by Top management are met


• Ensures a regular assessment of the client satisfaction and that improvements are identified and implemented


• Prepares and develops IMS orientation programs for new employees


• Communicates and consults with clients & subcontractors on issues related to the QHSE


• Analyzes the KPI reports and generates reports


• Maintains and controls records and documents related to the QHSE


• Plans for the EHS Committee meetings when necessary & keeps records of all minutes of meeting.


• Ensures the audit plan is executed, non-conformities are closed


• Fills the Risk / Aspect & Impact Assessment sheet/Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and makes sure that control measures are taken


• Ensures that mock drills and evacuation are executed on quarterly basis and takes corrective measures on the efficiency and effectiveness of its execution


• Participates in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis


• Validates and approves work permits


• Checks the compliance with the legal requirements and others and its synchronization with the system; constantly checks for new legal requirements or the update of existing legal requirements


• Plans for site inductions to subcontractors and employees


• Ensures the strict instructions of the use of personal protective equipment and safe work methods are communicated to the workers and interested parties


• Ensures the examinations of machinery, working environments and structures are done
  Your skills and experience
  Qualifications:
  Bachelors of Engineering in Electrical or Telecom with H &S qualification
  i.e. NEBOSH or IOSH


• An aptitude for exercising independent thinking and reasoning


• Observation skills


• The ability to communicate in written and oral formats with diplomacy and tact


• Presentation and communication skills


• Analytical skills


• Excel skills
