Location: Cairo, Egypt
Position title: Embedded Software Engineer
Responsibilities:
The candidate will be expected to work on software development, embedded web
services development, and testing for a range of innovative wireless network
infrastructure and backhaul products. The candidate should have a solid
understanding of networking concepts. The position entails designing,
developing and testing communications / networking and monitoring / control
software compliant with the relevant standards and market requirements.
The candidate will work closely with product design, research, development and
testing teams. The candidate will be involved in the complete development
cycle, including design, analysis, implementation, integration, testing,
documentation and manufacturing. The candidate should be up-to-date with
recent technological advances in the networking / wireless / software fields.
Preferred skills and experience:
* Requirement(s) span different experience levels, from fresh graduates to 3+ years of experience in software development for network infrastructure devices
* Bachelors or Masters in software engineering / computer science / networking / communication systems
* Experience with front-end and back-end web development technologies and tools (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python and Flask)
* Proficiency in programming languages (C, C++ etc.), embedded programming, system/protocol software implementation
* Familiarity with software version control systems and debugging tools and libraries
* Good knowledge of wireless/wired communication technologies and networking protocols
* Knowledge of network monitoring and management protocols and standards such as SNMP is a plus
* Certifications and courses in networking domain are preferred
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Team player, accustomed to data driven work
