The school seeks to appoint Key Stage ‎1 and ‎2 Classroom Teachers for October
‎2023. Class teachers at BISC deliver high-quality teaching and are focused on

Person Specification
* To comply with Egyptian employment law, applicants must have Qualified Teacher Status and a MINIMUM of three years teaching experience post-QTS;.

To comply with Egyptian employment law, applicants must have QTS and a MINIMUM
of three years teaching post qualification teaching experience.
Remuneration
The British International School, Cairo (BISC) operates a similar teaching
scale to schools in the UK which increases with teaching experience. All
salaries are tax free and paid in Pounds Sterling. The current basic salary
for a teacher with three years ' experience is £‎34,000 p.a. while the salary
of the majority of staff (six years experience or more) is over £‎40,000 p.a.
In addition all overseas contract teachers benefit from a generous housing
allowance, private BUPA Gold medical insurance, annual return flights to the
UK, and ‎2 free places for children of school age.
