Lab Analyst ( 1 Year Contract)

JOB SUMMARY:
Purpose of this job is to: Work under the direction of the laboratory manager
to ensure compliance with The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) specifications (KORE)
by conducting laboratory analysis/inspection of incoming ingredients and
merchandises, packaging materials, intermediate and finished products, and
process verification samples in compliance with and according to the
Management System (MS) of Cairo CP Laboratory ( ISO ‎17025, TCCC Operating
Requirements "KORE" and Cairo CP Integrated Management System "IMS")
To maintain the main components of the laboratory's management system. This
includes - but is not limited to - laboratory testing equipment and
instruments' validation, calibration and maintenance, and purchasing of
laboratory's supplies and resources.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary duties of this job include:
* Testing and reporting of incoming ingredients, merchandises, finished products and packaging material to ensure compliance with TCCC company specifications.
* Participate in compliance to KORE, IMS, and ISO ‎17025 requirements according to R&R each in his/her area.
* Support the commissioning, Validation, calibration, troubleshooting and maintenance of laboratory test equipment and instruments in accordance to laboratory MS.
* Monitoring quality of test results and implementing QC checks
* Implementing Cairo CP Laboratory's Sensory Program routines.
* Contributing in the continual improvement of the laboratory's MS and processes. (improvements/Opportunities)
* Lab logistic activities and services (Procurement, Purchasing, stock's monitoring, receiving and storage of laboratory supplies).
* Maintaining the Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs).
* Process Shelf-life extension testing.
* Monitoring and control of laboratory environmental conditions.
* Follow EOSH and security policies and procedures to protect own and others.
* Effective participation in different safety programs including safety cards, BBS, incident investigation and risk assessment and report all hazards, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and incidents.
* Other roles and responsibilities assigned by laboratory manager under the shield of laboratory MS and according to the latest update of the laboratory's Roles and Responsibilities Matrix.
* Setting up WTMM, development and career plan with lab manager.
* Adhering to The Coca-Cola Workplace Rights Policy (WRP).
RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical Qualifications
* Years of experience: ‎0 - ‎2
* Awareness of wet chemistry
* Analytical/instrumental background
* Background in statistics
* Basic Knowledge of microbiological testing
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
* Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacy.
