Our school
As one of the most prestigious international schools in Cairo, MBIS has been
delivering the best in British international education for almost ‎30 years.
MBIS serves a truly international, English-speaking body with over ‎61
nationalities represented. MBIS resides on purpose-built premises, combining
modern and Arabic architecture, in leafy Maadi, historically an ex-pat area of
Cairo. Our school site incorporates a fully equipped theatre, indoor swimming
pool and athletics track as well as specialist classrooms, labs, library, and
music rooms. Our not-for-profit school has developed a vibrant and welcoming

from ‎3 up to and including IGCSE and are busy with plans to expand our

*The role
We are looking to recruit a talented, creative and team-oriented Arabic
Teacher who is committed to providing the best education for our children.
Our school continues to develop and the successful candidate will join our
friendly staff team. This is an important role and as such, international
colleagues are well remunerated with a generous salary in sterling, meaning
that a very good standard of living is not an issue for our staff.
Interested applicants should:
* Be a resident in Egypt and have the right to work in Egypt without a work permit.
* Demonstrate an understanding of MFL teaching in an international school setting.
* Have intermediate fluency in spoken English at least.
* Hold a recognized teaching qualification.
* Have at least ‎2 years successful qualified teaching experience (including experience of working with the Arabic GCSE)
* Demonstrate a real passion for learning, an understanding of best practice and a desire to continually improve.
* Be committed and hard-working, with high expectations of themselves and the children in their care.
* Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, strong collegiality and a drive to support whole school development.
* Have real creative flair.
* Possess a positive team-spirit and a good sense of humor.
