Description & Requirements

We have an excellent opportunity for a Packaging Development professional to
make a difference at Kraft Heinz. You'll work in a successful team and be part
of the R&D international organization. This role is responsible for supporting
the EAST implementation manager in driving growth by implementing BU agenda
for portfolio transformation- driving sustainability- using the team's skills
& performance- and delivering a consistent innovative- improved food packaging
solution.
You will be responsible to :
Lead packaging development for MEA regarding materials and methods for new
products/ line extensions /promotion efforts/co-packers
Lead all packaging development projects for Kraft Heinz - MEA in different
products categories (innovations- renovations- quality improvement- RGM)
Lead packaging resources and direct packaging suppliers
Co-lead supplier conceptualization with the procurement team to fuel the Value
Engineering pipeline and partner with marketing on fueling the innovation
pipeline
Plan and direct activities concerned with packaging design- drawings-
specifications- and validation techniques
Improve the quality- cost- and operational efficiency of existing packaging
technologies
Lead- together with a quality team- on how to improve our packaging
capabilities across the region
Partner with ESG Lead on developing the strategy and long-term pipeline for
the ESG agenda
Implement ESG requirements in packaging materials and systems by designing and
developing renewable-recycled materials. Partner with central teams on how to
find new technology enablers that fit our ESG roadmap but also fit our
regional requirements
Identify direct cost-saving initiatives (VE projects) related to packaging
materials in MEA and act as SPOC
Participate in solving new and existing packaging problems involving designs-
materials- and processes
Co-design and implement with CAPEX team new packaging lines design and
implementation in the region as well as pilot filling lines (starting from
packaging line design up to technical drawings)
Build and handle external contacts with partners such as (Universities- Labs-
Packaging Consultants- and Suppliers)
Lead systems related to NPD through reviewing & assessing R&D systems
(Playbook - Specification-Agile - Oracle) and internal auditing and preparing
dashboard report presented to the Head of R&D
What you bring:
* Education: Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering. A Master's degree in food technology is a plus.
* Work Experience: ‎6-‎8 years in Packaging in FMCGs or relevant industrials
* Language Knowledge: Fluent in English
* Ability to travel
* Digital Literacy: Microsoft Office- dealing with ERP system- mail & report writing
