Gated Communities Network Operations Specialist

Description

Role purpose
o Responsible for installation, configuration, and maintenance of different
triple play servers ' hardware and software (Encoders, Dish Farm, Middleware,
Voice Gateway, Routers, Switches, GPON) hosted in Gated compounds data centre
and providing connectivity solutions for different compounds.
o Provide technical support / guidance for running services, provide
troubleshooting, analysis & technical problem solution for critical
situations.
o Optimize triple play service IPTV, STTH among the running compounds to
ensure service availability and granting maximum SLA.
o guide and assign tasks to representative on-site engineers to provision new
customer's solution nodes for Voice, Internet, or TV services.
o Coordinate and follow up with concerned departments such as customer
services, network services operations, warehouses to ensure the smooth
operation.
o End-to-end configuration and provisioning of SDSL connections with required
service.

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience.
* At least ‎6 years of Network operation technical experience.
* At least ‎5 years' experience in Fixed broadband, IPTV and Triple play services
* Can act as technical escalation point for major/complex issues or projects as well as provide technical advice to team members.
* CCNP self-study/certification.
* Knowledge in new networking technologies like SDN, uCPE, NFV,SASE,..
* Good knowledge of network design concepts, topology and restructuring techniques.
* Solid background in IP Data network

* Able to identify and explain challenges to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Self-motivated, works well in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of ownership and accountability.

Education:
B.Sc. Degree in communication / electronics engineering
Work Experience:
Minimum ‎6 years of experience in Telecommunication Industry, preferably in an
ISP environment.
Special requirements:
Analytical and interpersonal skills are essential; together with an ability to
communicate effectively at all levels.
Good command of written and spoken English
