A private yard in Hurghada/Egypt is looking to add a Guide to its team.
The role includes riding a variety of horses including ponies, endurance
horses, youngsters. They are all rescued and retrained , lots of them bitless,
and with Arab blood. The candidate will have to escort clients out on rides,
prepare horses to be ridden, teach clients of a variety of ages in the arena
and out on hacks. They will also oversee daily duties of the grooms, check
horses, handle and desensitise youngsters.
The candidate must have previous experience working on a yard as a guide,
rider or instructor. They should be able to walk, trot, canter, lunge and
handle horses on the ground confidently. They must have an excellent sense of
direction, guiding in the desert is not so easy, although is not
dangerous,because there are not so many evident landmarks. They must have
excellent customer service skills
It is key that the candidate is able to work well with others and fit within
the existing team, being fun but professional.
The role is only open to those over the age of 21. The position comes with a
salary and benefits. A visa and transport is provided, along with day off and
a return flight home for a minimum of 6 mths stay. Shared accommodation with a
pool is provided in a good location, with major landmarks within approximately
a 15 mi Female/Male but "under 10st / 140lbs " please don't take it wrong but

then a double pony.
