Permit to Work Issuer

• Review incoming work requests to ensure they are complete, accurate, and comply with company policies and safety regulations.


• Issue permits to authorize specific work activities, including hot work, confined space entry, electrical work, and more, based on the nature of the task.


• Coordinate and manage isolations, including lockout/tagout, equipment shutdowns, and isolation of energy sources to ensure the safety of employees and contractors.

Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Permit to Work Issuer to join our
growing Project team in Ahafo North.
Reporting to the HSE Manager the Permit to Work Issuer will be responsible for
facilitating the safe execution of work activities, particularly those
involving hazardous operations, issuing permits with the management of
isolations, ensuring that the Ahafo North Project is delivered professionally,
environmentally friendly and safely in line with Company, Client and industry
requirements.
The tasks you'll perform
* Ensure that all permit-related work activities are in full compliance with relevant safety protocols, including proper equipment usage, protective measures, and safety checks.
* Conduct risk assessments for each permitted work activity and work with relevant parties to mitigate potential risks and hazards.
* Maintain accurate records of all permits issued, isolations performed, work activities conducted, and any safety incidents or near misses, and provide regular reports to management.
* Ensure accurate submission/reporting of various Permit and isolation reports, to statutory/regulatory bodies, as required.
