A Research Assistant position is available to join in the Department of
Biochemistry, College of Medicine and Health Science, UAE University, AlAin,
UAE. The focus of our research is to create patient specific induced
pluripotent stem cells (iPS Cells). These hiPS cells will be differentiated
into cells of pathological relevance to understand disease mechanisms and drug
testing. The project involves creating iPSCs from PBMCs, lineage specific
differentiation, epigenetic analysis, CRISPR/Cas9 based gene editing and other
molecular biology techniques. Preference will be given to candidate with
experience in molecular biology and cell culture techniques. Experience in
stem cells culture and differentiation is a plus.
Minimum Qualification
The applicant must have Master’s degree in biomedical science with a minimum
of 1-2 years laboratory-based research experience.
Preferred Qualification
Candidates with experience in molecular biology, culture and differentiation
of stem cells will be given preference.
