Job Description & Summary
The Chief Auditor Network ("Network") is a key element of the US Firm's system
of quality control and is routinely directed to support/enhance/monitor
quality initiatives that are important to Leadership.
Roles and activities have continued to evolve and expand since inception
Serves as integrated/distributed extension of Auditing Services, Methods and
Tools (ASM&T), targeted at national quality initiatives while still
maintaining the "on the ground" connection to engagement teams and sectors.
The support provided by the Network helps engagement teams (with a strong
emphasis on public company engagements) design and execute effective and
efficient audits and, through its ongoing monitoring, provides Trust Solutions
leadership with insights on audit quality trends and results/progress.
The Network supports national audit quality initiatives with a strong emphasis
on supporting teams performing audits of public companies. Members of the
Network are expected to engage in the following activities:
* Develop and perform Planning for Success or other similar engagement team workshop programs (generally focused on risk assessment or other planning related activities))
* Conduct semi-annual engagement partner reach out program which includes meeting with each audit partner involved in a public company audit to discuss key audit quality matters
* Design and perform other "implementation focused" engagement team support/activities related to new guidance or emerging quality matters (e.g., climate risk assessment, business combinations, etc)
* Support the training, development and integration of remote team members from the PwC Acceleration Centers
* Support engagement teams through informal consultations on auditing topics
* Assist/support engagement teams under inspection
* Assist with other ad hoc monitoring activities or other requests of Leadership (including sector requests)
* Instruct national training sessions (generally focused on audit methodology/audit quality)
* Assist in development of other topical or sector specific training programs
* Support other ASM&T projects
* Serve as reviewers for Engagement Compliance Reviews (ECRs) (led/administered by the Quality Review and Monitoring Group)
* Serve as reviewers for Pre-Issuance Reviews (PIRs) (led/administered by the Quality Review and Monitoring Group)
* CPA or equivalent credential
* Senior Manager/Director Level
* Minimum 8-10 years experience, including experience auditing US public companies (which could include components of US public companies)
* Subject matter experts in PCAOB auditing standards with recent experience in conducting audits under those standards
* Strong interpersonal & English language communication skills (written, speaking & interpreting US business language) is required
* Flexible & adaptable to significant overlap with US business hours (~70% overlap)
* Comfortable working as part of a fully remote / virtual team (limited connection to team within the local AC)
* Able to travel to US for limited periods / conferences / specialist training
