Qualification :
School & Graduation - Technical Diploma in relevant area (Chemical,
Mechanical, or Metallurgy)
Experience :
‎3 - ‎5 yrs.

Role Purpose:
__
To inspect / monitor and operate the direct reduction process and equipment
efficiently and effectively. Maximize the equipment / plant utilization to
achieve highest productivity and quality, compliance to meet HSE standards by
steady, smooth and un-interrupted plant operation.

Key Accountabilities

‎1.
Operate and monitor plant equipment and/or process of Direct Reduction Plant
processes in order to ensure that plant and processes are operating within set
parameters.

‎2.
Take and record readings of running equipment such as Process gas compressors,
cooling zone compressor, seal gas compressors, refrigerant dryers, desiccant
dryers, various pumps, etc

‎3.
Collect product and oxide material samples and prepare the samples for
laboratory analysis as per operating procedures.

‎4.
Carryout periodical visual observation of product and oxide material quality
and report any problem, discrepancy or abnormality in the quality of
materials.

‎5.
Carryout routine inspection, checking of equipment, sounds, vibrations,
drains, etc.
in order to ensure process interruptions are minimised

‎6.
Carry out routine on the job equipment minor operational maintenance and
communicate other maintenance / repair needs to the Group \leader or
Supervisor for onward communication for repair planning.

‎7.
Ensure all operating, safety, environment, and quality procedures are followed
in order to ensure the highest standards of operation and to support the
achievement of continuous uninterrupted plant operations.

‎8.
To operate the equipments in product material handling system independently
and discharge material from product silo to dump trucks and store the material
in designated product yards as and when required to control silo material
stock.

‎9.
Inspection of product silo, product dust bin, fines bin, product screen,
bucket elevator, etc and ensure positive inert atmosphere is maintained all
the time for safety of the system.

‎10.
supplying DRI to EF furnace and basket charges promptly to meet the customer
needs of

‎11.
Participate in special data collection with the shift group for the purpose
such as Super data collection, Vessel and Equipment pressure drop study, Seal
gas distribution analysis, etc.

‎12.
Check plant hot spot in every night shift
in order to ensure process interruptions are minimised
.

‎13.
Collect oxide materials from day bins or MC yards and perform sieve analysis
on routine basis or as and when required in order to ensure operation runs in
smoothly function.

‎14.
Attend any plant troubles / abnormalities promptly such as top seal leg
plugging, bottom etc to overcome the situations quickly and minimised the
interruptions.

‎15.
Inspect the plant piping and vessels for any gas leakages or flames and
promptly initiate for countering the situation as per the case. Inform Control
room for emergency assistance as per the case.

‎16.
Communicate clearly with team members and the reliving shift about current
plant and equipment operations and conditions and hand over the shift and
equipment with full and clear information

‎17.
Actively participate in QC Circles activities and actively seek opportunities
for improvement in plant equipment and processes in order to support the
ongoing achievement of the highest operating standards.

quaLIFICATIONS, Experience & SKILLS

§
Minimum Technical Diploma in relevant area (Chemical, Mechanical, or
Metallurgy). or degree preferred but not essential with ‎3-‎5
years experience in plant/process operation
§
Specific knowledge and understanding of both equipment and process operation
in Direct Reduction Plant.
§
Knowledge of equipment / process parameters and controls.
§
Knowledge of operating and safely procedures and standards.
§
Knowledge and understanding of basic DR chemistry.
§
Ability to read technical drawings and logics.
§
Analytical capability
§
Basic computer skills
§
English language skills - written and spoken.
