The Financial Crimes (FC) Manager will be responsible for overseeing the
comprehensive anti-money-laundering (AML), anti-fraud (AF), Sanction, &
reporting unit by ensuring the implementation of the day-to-day tasks, along
with the full integration of any regulatory requirements. You will also be
tasked with the responsibility of creating, implementing & monitoring an
effective FC program.
As a Tapster You Will:
* Lead the implementation and maintenance of the Compliance assessment framework for Tap Payments..
* Design and delivery of compliance frameworks.
* Assist in the deployment and operation of Taps Compliance program including but not exclusively regulatory change and compliance assessments.
* Act as designated point of contact with local regulatory bodies. Facilitate, participate and consult in the execution of the Second Line of Defence assurance and monitoring programs.
* Provide advice, guidance and training to staff across the business.
* Preparation and delivery of Compliance reports. Monitoring developments on local legal/regulatory websites for potential regulatory compliance obligations/issues. Assist in ad hoc projects as and when required.
* To establish and maintain a constructive and open dialogue with any other appropriate authorities and to ensure that any regulatory reports or enquiries are handled appropriately and promptly.
* Prepare the appropriate reports for the board demonstrating the continued effectiveness of the regulatory compliance framework.
* Ensure that the compliance team activities and outcomes deliver agreed objectives in accordance with the company and regulatory procedures.
* Ensure that senior management are kept fully informed of all regulatory matters and also that any such developments are included within the compliance risk framework.
* Provide guidance and advice on regulatory matters across the business.
* Oversee the review and development of existing products and services.
* To develop and maintain regulatory compliance policies and procedures including KYC, AML, and sanctions screening.
* To develop and maintain appropriate control measures to monitor KYC, AML, complaint handling and sanctions.
* Ensure compliance to all card scheme rules and regulations.
* To work across the company business lines engaging with a degree of pragmatic collaboration to find compliant solutions to business problems.
* To develop and maintain effective relationships with various stakeholders across the business.
* Other duties, as assigned based on the demands of the business and growth of the role.
* Any other duties as required by the line manager or Head of Department that are commensurate with the grade.
What You Bring to the Party:
* 7 - 10years Compliance experience working within a similar Payment Services firm.
* Strong knowledge of relevant regulations.
* Degree educated, ideally within Law, Business or Finance.
* Essential this individual has excellent communication skills both written & verbal, English & Arabic.
* Extensive compliance experience with a heavy attention for detail, strong business and personal ethics, high integrity and trustworthiness.
* Experience as an Money Laundering Reporting Officer for a regulated entity.
