The Job Opportunity


We are currently looking to hire a Risk & Business Continuity Specialist –
STCA be based in Riyadh, KSA.

Key Purpose
The Client located in KSA has requested the services of a qualified A&FM;
consultancy team to provide advisory / strategic consultancy services for
their Assets and Facilities Management (A&FM;) operations in their distributed
sites across the country.


The required role will be part of a team of qualified consultants and
personnel to shape and deliver the operating model for county operations, the
end-end services and transition to transformation. The role will support the
appointed team as well as recommend, devise and implement the strategy on how
to best operate Assets & Facility operations in a built environment.


Reason for role
In line with the wider group strategy, the contract will be the key catalyst
in growing Serco’s reputation and involvement in A&FM; Consultancy services
within KSA. The consultancy team’s role is to support in the lead and delivery
of Serco’s contractual obligations by ensuring the successful implementation
of deliverables set forth.
The role typically reporting to the FM Expert but requires an adaptability to
complex matrix project-based work, where functional and operational management
may be fluid.


Key accountabilities
Responsible for building risk framework related to but not limited to Assets
and Facilities which may include facilities, assets, business processes,
people, data, standards, documents, performance of service delivery partners,
and business operations. Maintain risk registers, identify nominated risk
owners, mapped criticalities of risk events, and mitigation plans. Gathers and
compiles data related to risk from internal and external resources. Identifies
potential risks by analyzing data, and observing processes. Drafts and
delivers reports and presentations outlining findings, identifying and
explaining potential risks, and recommending solutions. Selects or develops
and implements appropriate risk assessment models or methodologies.
Responsible in developing emergency planning framework, its training, and
prepare the reports of readiness. Follow up with required action owners.
Coordinate with site principals, sponsors service delivery organisation in
coordinating and activating the risk, emergency planning and prepare the
readiness report. Document, and ensure communication of, key risks. Maintain
input or data quality of risk management systems. Recommend ways to control or
reduce risk. Assess risks to business operations. Gather organizational
performance information. Meet with clients to answer queries on subjects such
as risk exposure, multiple scenarios. Develop contingency plans to deal with
emergencies. Evaluate applicable laws and regulations to determine impact on
organizational activities. Prepare regulatory or compliance documentation.
Advise others on analytical techniques. Develops and implements contingency
plans to manage business interruptions, and other emergencies. Maintains
knowledge of existing and developing laws and regulations related to the
organizations industry; assesses and explains how new requirements may affect
the organization in terms of risk exposure. Researching various regions prone
to natural disasters and coming up with specific preparedness plans. Ensuring
all preparedness plans adhere to regulations. Keeping business continuity
plans current. Conducting awareness and training programs. This position may
be required to carry out other tasks from time to time as directed by the line
manager or a member of the Senior Management Team.


What we are looking for in our candidates:
‎10 - ‎15 years’ experience in related field on national / international major
initiatives and developments. ‎5-‎7 years of experience in a senior role in
consultancy services in managing preferably in Assets and Facilities
Management projects or programs of a diverse and complex nature. Ability to
identify critical tasks and prioritise workload to ensure the overall success
of the team and contract. A natural communication style with regular, open and
honest communication to stakeholders on the status of projects, identifying
issues early and seeking escalation, support and resolution. Significant
experience in resolving complex problems to the satisfaction of all
stakeholders. The ability to remain calm under pressure. Proficient with
Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Excellent critical thinking,
organizational, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills. Strong
communication skills.


Knowledge Gravitas, and the emotional intelligence capable of developing close
working relationships with the client to ensure the mutual success for all
stakeholders and longevity of the contract and beyond. Demonstrable subject
matter expertise (and where appropriate, accreditation) in discipline.
Knowledge of KPIs, and KPIs tree. Diplomatic, with a cultural sensitivity.


Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Master’s degree a plus. PMI –
RMP certificate preferred. Knowledge of Business Continuity Management System
(BCMS) with BCM-‎300: ISO ‎22301 Business Continuity certificate preferable.
Knowledge of the impacts of change environments, behaviours and standard
procedure on people, process and systems. Experience working with a mix of
cultures in a large international company - Middle East experience is
preferred. Fluent in English (Written and Spoken), Arabic speakers preferable.


HSQE Responsibilities and Information Security Responsibilities Ensure

processes, procedures and work instructions to deliver all work with
appropriate quality and governance standards. Ensure security and integrity of
all data provided including reporting performance, finance and customer
information; reference Serco non-disclosure policy. To exercise personal duty
of care for their own health, safety and welfare and for those affected by
their acts or omissions; reference SMS GSOP-HSE1-‎6 Serco organisational HSE
responsibilities. Ensure compliance with all training requirements of Serco
and ensure adherence to these requirements at all times whilst in employment.
Report any accidents, incidents, breaches or potential breaches to appropriate
management or the speak up process.
