To lead all Marketing (pre-launch, Launch and growth brands) activities within
the Franchise. To be responsible for developing the Sales and Marketing
strategy for Brands and new launches and for driving its full implementation,
to track market opportunities, changes, trends, to ensure that new strategic
business opportunities are identified and developed into business marketing
strategies and sales plans.
To lead sales and marketing teams to ensure financial objectives are met
including responsibility for profit and loss and optimal resource utilization
and allocation.
Provides effective people management / leadership to differentiate Novartis as
a leading company.
Lead the cross functional alignment with Local, Regional and Global teams.
Major Accountabilities
Lead Marketing Team to Fully implement the Global marketing concepts and marketing plan Acquire/possess an in depth knowledge of the customer/market place, key dynamics and company policies as well as up to date knowledge of key competitors and their likely strategies.
Provide the planning and leadership to the Marketing Department by ensuring that the appropriate structures, systems, competencies and values are developed in order to meet and exceed the goals of the Marketing plan.
Manage the overall demand planning and annual forecast to ensure timely supply
Lead the Local Strategies development aligned with the global translated into a clear, well communicated Launch Readiness Plan, IPS and vision that can be reflected in a focused, lean, energized team where this vision can be turned into excellent implementation of well-conceived tactical plans.
Deliver all promotional tools and design programs to ensure best in class launches for the assigned brands to drive achievement and grow market share while minimizing market loss of other Novartis brands. Lead the brand in all markets phases through a full product launch cycle.
Fully manage expense budgets (A&P&MS) in coordination with Franchise head, Country Manager.
Build and develop excellent matrix management in relationships with Cross Functional Teams to accelerate and optimize launch readiness (Medical, Regulatory affairs, Market Access and supply chain) Work closely with commercial teams to build a strategy for the brand and prepare for major upcoming launches. .
Leadership of the Sales Team to establish the foundation for the future Sales team (hiring, training and development) to ensure that we have the best sales team in place prior to launch and ensure future sales targets are achieved. Set performance objectives based on marketing plans and assessment of individual performance vs. objectives. Coach sales team to ensure that all FF development plans are on track.
Support and Build team to achieve team goals
Lead the franchise team to create enthusiasm and focus internally and with external customers and agencies.
Develop and present brands related business cases, market/brands/competitors' analysis, and business performance reviews to the local and regional leadership team.
Guiding the day-to-day activities of the marketing team and ensure full support provided to field force.
Maintains Sales and marketing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training team members.
Develops Sales and marketing staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
Creates and delivers operational plans appropriate to life cycle of brand to optimize return for Novartis.

Minimum requirements
* University degree or equivalent in Science, Marketing or Business qualification.
* +5 years field sales experience or related marketing services experience and brand management experience.
* Product executive or related marketing services experience: 3-5 year.
