Senior International Logistics Manager

Manager who can lead a team of professionals overseeing every phase of large-
scale projects.

Managers to be versatile as well as have exceptional communication, analytical
and management skills. In this role you provide management and direction for
all our international logistics requirements. You will recruit, interview, and
evaluate prospective employees as well as hire, offer personnel development,
conduct performance evaluations, counsel employees, takes corrective actions
(as required), and approves terminations. One of your roles will include
ensuring that new employees receive orientation on company policies and
procedures.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
* Lead the planning and initial site set-up and production of the International Logistics Plan, integrated with the site and interface logistics plans to give a city-wide approach.
* Develops Standard operating procedures for the international logistics of the program and ensure that QIP follow them so there is operational consistency across the program.
* Coordinate with other delivery partners (Jacobs and Mace), as well as QIC and all existing contractors, and future planned procurement of major contractors.
* Plan and implement international logistics strategies and approaches in accordance with the completed and approved international logistics plan.
* Lead the implementation and application of advanced principles, theories, and concepts, ensuring compliance and consistency across the delivery teams.
* Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas, leading in the field of international logistics.
* Leads on unusually complex construction international logistic problems and provides solutions that are highly creative, in coordination with site and interface logistics leads.
* Facilitates forming partnerships with key stakeholders and organizations impacted by the program.
* Assigns work to employees, oversees, and tracks the completion of work assignments.
* Interviews and selects personnel for assignment as required.
* Maintains clear and concise work standards and goals; provides training and development; completes performance evaluations, conducts employee counselling, takes corrective action as necessary.
* Ensures adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
* Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in Logistics or related discipline with minimum ‎12-‎15 years' experience in mega construction projects, professional logistics accreditation equivalence.


• Proven experience of working within construction logistics environment.


• Safety Qualification / Awareness Training.
