Responsible for grounds cleaning of the hospital complex and the hospital-
owned/leased residential areas. Collects non-medical solid waste generated by
the hospital and residential areas.
1. Performs duties according to established policies and procedures and
ensures tasks are completed within the scheduled time.
2. Responsible for cleaning of external glass panels, hospital roof tops,
courtyards, hospital signage, entrance areas, and storm drains.
3. Ensures correct handling and maintenance of equipment being used.
4. Obtains required materials and consumables ensuring they are used cor
rectly and economically.
5. Reports any mechanical failures/discrepancies or unsafe conditions in his
assigned area to the supervisor.
6. Follows prescribed safety and hygiene procedures to help combat cross
contamination and to maintain professional hygiene at all times.
7. Removes/collects waste on a timely manner from collection points in
accordance with the waste disposal policy and provides accurate counts of
waste bags/weight collected from grounds and residences.
8. Uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for grounds cleaning
and waste disposal.
9. Assists with and coordinate clean-up for meetings and special events as
required.
10. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.
11. Participates in self and other's education, training and development, as
applicable.
Intermediate School or Elementary School with vocational education is
required.
No experience with Intermediate School Education or one (1) year of experience
with operation of heavy road equipment with Elementary School is required.
Driver's license for automobile and heavy equipment required.
Bilingual English/Arabic is preferred.
