Overview:
Abacus Technology is seeking a Network Administrator to provide LAN/CAN
infrastructure support to support the US Military Training Mission (USMTM) in
Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities:
Provide day to day network infrastructure support for campus area network
(CAN) spanning multiple enclaves. Support daily network operations to include
monitoring of activities and connectivity issues. Work trouble tickets and
projects as directed, work with Help Desk and supporting work centers to
restore customer service outages in a timely manner in accordance with
established SLA. Monitor network conditions and proactively work to restore
services in the event service degradation is identified prior to customer
generated ticket. Apply DoD best practices concerning daily network
operations. Participate in the planning and design of upgrades or enhancements
for the existing infrastructure. Install, configure, troubleshoot, test, and
maintain network-related hardware and HAIPE encryption devices, switches,
routers, and similar transport devices. Test and evaluate network systems to
eliminate problems and make improvements. Maintain inventory and lifecycle
replacement scheduling for network devices. Work with point of escalation to
troubleshoot and restore connectivity to devices that may exist outside of
your administrative control including but not limited to firewalls, DMZs,
boundary routers, IPS, IDS, VPN concentrators and bulk encryption devices.
Assist other work centers on projects or tasks.
Qualifications:
5+ years experience in network administration with extensive Cisco experience.
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Must be CCNA and Security+ certified.
CCNP and MCSE certifications desired. Extensive experience with Cisco IOS,
routing, switching, and the General Dynamics family of encryption devices.
Familiar with 802.1x, DHCP, CUCM, VoIP, network management solutions, and
trouble ticket systems. Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and
DISA STIG compliancy procedures is a plus. Able to provide troubleshooting and
maintenance support in an enterprise level organization. Experience providing
support to government contracting programs. Able to interact with all levels
of an organization and solid customer service skills are critical. Must be a
US citizen, hold a current Secret clearance, and be willing to live and work
in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
