Responsible for all activities related to the design and development
Structural / Civil engineering.
1.Communicates and coordinates with Hospital 's Departments at various levels
to discuss and identifies needs and requirements.
2.Conducts on-site inspections of work in progress to ensure compliance with
all recognized standards and contract specifications.
3.Reviews and recommends approval of construction and material procurement
schedules submitted by contractors for project execution.
4.Improves and upgrades structural specifications, materials, methods used
adopting the latest technologies.
5.Designs structural systems for concrete, structural steel and other
materials and prepares structural drawings for these three systems.
6.Complies complete bid documents for new projects including drawings,
technical specifications and bill of quantities.
7.Ensures projects are executed according to structural specifications,
approved shop drawings and approved materials.
8.Performs progress monitoring and quality assurance reviews.
9.Monitors subsequent structural development of projects to ascertain the
projects financial targets are not exceeded.
10.Monitors contractor's payments and initiates, negotiates and prepares
change orders.
11.Evaluates performance and counsels for enhanced performance within the
Section of Electrical Engineering.
12.Analyses and prepares monthly reports for Department Head and Division
Director.
13.Reviews structural design and drawings.
14.Assists in resolving complex technical problems and coordinates problem
resolution.
PhD, Master 's or Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related
discipline is required.
Four (4) years of related experience with PhD, seven (7) years with Master 's
or nine (9) years with Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
required.
