THE POSITION
The OPU (Operating Unit) Controller provides effective and efficient support
to the OPU management in the areas of Planning, Reporting and Business
Partnering as well as Controlling and continuous improvement projects to
enable the best return on investment in the engagement with customers.
The OPU Controller implements guidance from the ROPU (Regional Opearting Unit)
controlling team & corporate into the OPU and ensures an effective and
efficient execution of processes.
The OPU Controllers ensures high quality and efficient processes that enable
timely reporting, effective internal control tools and application of relevant
internal- and external regulations.
Tasks & responsibilities
Planning cycle/budget process:
* Ensures proper communication of planning, deadlines, targets and other relevant data for the budget cycle to relevant stakeholders in the OPU,
* Coordinates system entry of relevant data,
* Provides financial impact and analysis of assumption set to business,
* Supports review meetings with OPU management by generating relevant overviews, analysis and business support,
* Ensures timely submission of data in the appropriate systems.
* Aligns with ROPU controlling on guidelines and Timelines and prepares internal OPU timelines accordingly.
Business Partnering:
* Implements, aligns and executes guidance from ROPU controlling team on (corporate) strategies and processes,
* Provides operational business support with pricing-, discount- and profitability analysis, recommendations for cost optimization and partnerships and other analysis,
* Collects, interprets and provides data for decision making process.
* Connects relevant functions in OPU and ROPU in order to optimize communication and efficiency of (financial) processes,
Monthly closing/supplementary reporting:
* Ensures processing of accurate and relevant accruals and provisions in financial ledgers,
* Coordinates data collection from relevant resources
* Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of financial results in accordance with corporate policies and guidelines in the relevant systems (e.g. BI Prisma, TIS, Cognos, SAP, ECCS, Taxone, TMO, Allevo, etc.)
* Perform month end routines, checks, reconciliations and analysis,
* ensures the delivery of periodical financial information and comments for OPU management.
Projects and continuous improvement
* Work on continuous improvement topics to ensure compliance and adherence to relevant regulations in the financial processes of the OPU,
* Support ROPU controlling team on an ad hoc basis
Network and personal development
* Build and maintain external and internal network,
* Acquire and maintain relevant know how and technical expertise
Compliance Responsibility
* Responsible for overseeing compliance and adherence to corporate SOP's, local regulations and best practices as applicable.

Skills & experiences
Strong functional and good business know-how, business acumen, strong
technical skills in systems and tools, strong process thinking, future

Is able to balance between accuracy, efficiency and understanding "big
picture",
Broad overall finance knowledge incl. accounting, tax, treasury and
compliance
Strong analytical thinking, especially ability to understand and work on
complex controlling, business and finance related topics
