Job Summary:
The UH60 / AH64 Aircraft Power Plant Repairer (GE T-700-701 / Allison
250-C30) will support the mission in the following areas:
* Perform maintenance and repair of major assemblies, subassemblies and line replaceable unit's (LRUs) of the AH-64, UH-60, Bell 406 and 333 Schweizer power plant related systems (engines and auxiliary power units).
* Remove, disassemble, repair, rig, rework, reassemble, install, modify, adjust, test and preserve power plant systems, subsystems, and components according to directives, technical manuals, and safety procedures.
* Perform inspection, troubleshooting, fault detection, fault isolation, and appropriate AVUM/AVIM corrective actions on the power plant related system Perform power plant depot-level maintenance and repair when authorized.
* Operate and maintain all applicable peculiar and common ground support equipment. Identify, use and maintain all common, special, and precision tools available for power plant maintenance and repair.
* Responsible for completion and maintenance of applicable forms, records, and reports using appropriate references and other publications of The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS).
* Provide On-the-Job-Training (OJT) for Saudi technicians and/or other personnel to include maintaining appropriate records on personnel such as Job Performance Guides (JPGs).
* Assist in shop safety as well as safety in the hangar and on the flight line.
* Maintain cleanliness and general maintenance of the associated work ar Perform cleaning, preservation, and operational maintenance work on assigned vehicles, tools, and equipment.
* Operate motor vehicles, machines, and other mechanical equipment in the performance of assigned duties
Minimum Requirements:
* Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma, or equivalent.
* Must hold a Valid FAA Power plant (A &P) license.
* Must be a graduate of the US Army Aircraft Power Plant Repairer Course (15B) OR other military or civilian aircraft maintenance course with specialization in turbine engine repair, with a Minimum Two (2) years of experience in helicopter engine repair.
* Must have a minimun of Four (4) years of recent turbine engine repair experience , of which two (2) years must be at the US Army -30 level (civilian journeyman level) or higher.
* Must have a demonstrated, hands-on working knowledge of GE T-700-701 series and Allison 250-C30 series power plant systems and subsystems.
* Hands-on knowledge of the US Army T-62T-40 auxiliary power plant is desired.
* Must be capable of obtaining a valid light equipment operator 's license.
* US Citizen Required
* Must possess Valid US Passport
* Ability to obtain Saudi Visa (Igama)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Recent supervisory experience is desired.
* Hands-on knowledge of the US Army T-62T-40 auxiliary power plant is desired.
* A working knowledge of The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) and applicable Army publications is desired.
* Ability to read, write, speak, and understand Arabic is desirable.
* Must have demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written
* Must be articulate in the English language.
* Must be able to obtain Saudi Igama Visa
