The opportunity
Project: Mace have been shortlisted to bid for one of several delivery partner
roles for a major project, this is a transformational project that will be
built in Riyadh, and will be responsible for developing and hosting future
international events, such as stadium, elite sports centre and wellness,
nature and environment, parks and attractions, motion and mobility, and arts
and culture, this will also include Mid-scale hotel, multiplex cinema,
residential, retail and commercial, public car parking and public realm. The
model is unique and different to that previously experienced in the middle
east region. This major project is seeking high-calibre experienced
candidates, who will lead integrated teams that will manage each phase of the
project through the project lifecycles.
We are hiring a motivated and forward-thinking commercial director to join our
established and growing team in KSA.
The role is ultimately accountable for the successful delivery of the
programme. The role will be providing a regional level reporting against the
programme. To provide vision, guidance and strategic direction for the
programme. Commercial Director to sit across Qiddiya City Uptown District,
South Cliff Zone.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing precincts 1,2A, 2B, 3 - stadium, elite sports centre, indoor sports arena, E-Games arena, which includes up-scale hotel, gondola station (Structure), metro station (Structure), residential, retail and commercial, public car parking, town square and public realm etc.
* Directing and supervising the cost management team providing support across the project.
* Contributing to the implementation of the programme strategy and the development of the specific projects action plan.
* Managing the client relationship and all the reporting responsibilities.
* Reviewing contracts and making recommendations on commerciality.
* Resolving issues with contracts and commercial operations.
* Acting as a subject matter expert for cost and commercial on the project.
* Ensuring that all stakeholders such as administration, operations and finance understand and adhere to contractual obligations reflecting them accurately.
* Monitoring performance of commercial activities using key metrics and preparing reports for senior management.
* Supervising and motivating a multi-cultural team and ensuring all commercial goals are delivered.
About you
You have relevant degree qualifications, MRICS and master's preferred. You
will take personal development seriously and be chartered or pursue a similar
level of professional qualification.
You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead
strong, motivated teams. You must have experience in programme or project
management equating quality and value with a particular client and be hungry
