Electrical Technician

JOB TITLE: Electrical Technician*
REPORTING TO: Field Engineers*
HIRING MODULE - Contract : ‎1 year
LOCATION : Saudi Arabia, Riyadh
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To service and repair Gilbarco V-R and other designated products to the
highest possible standards in a safe and professional manner. To provide
installation, commissioning and 1st line customer response within the
Team/Region. Hands on role, ‎100% of time being spent in the field. Maximise
all opportunities to raise the technical ability and effectiveness of service
Technicians in the Region/Team. Liaise with the Field Engineer on all
technical matters relating to Installation, commissioning, First Time Fix,
SLA, and Backlog. Stand in for the Field Engineer during holidays and absence.
Provide technical support and training when and where required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Comply with company rules and policies.
* Receive daily calls via mail or direct from Call Centre Controllers, undertaking all types of repair calls etc.
* Liaise with Call Centre Controllers to review daily workload
* Liaise with Field Engineers on all matters of concern
* Acceptance of Field Engineers decisions to co-ordinate other works
* Responsibility for vehicle to comply with company ISO ‎9002 standards
* Full responsibility for spares, manuals, and tools required to carry out job
* Responsible for all company documentation - correctly completed and legible
* Compliance with all company procedures and Health & Safety policies
* Participate and action DBS service delivery improvements and cost reduction initiatives
* Team support during introduction of new equipment or new business activity
* Responsible for Technical Support to all Regional/Team personnel
* Responsible for appropriate onsite training in liaison with Training Department
* Test and repair to component level on faulty P.C.B.'s. Returned from the field.
* Understand the use of all test equipment associated with the work undertaken.
* Diagnose faults on new and second-hand petrol pumps.
* Install, commission and test all GVR equipment in the field.
* Carry out small batch production testing.
* Pack and protect repaired equipment to I.S.O. standards.
* Configure software for point-of-sale equipment.
* Work safely within the company's procedures and guidelines.
* Responsible to ensure of using appropriate test equipment and that it is within calibration
* Liaise with the Field Manager on all technical matters relating to FTF, SLA & Backlog
* Coordinate all Team/Regional actions associated with Van Stock accuracy including inventory cycle counts
* Deputise for the Field Engineers during holidays and absence.
* Be responsible for training new technicians.
* Be responsible for the quality of work.
* Carry out regularly audits.
* Ensure that all required Paperwork is properly filled in and stored audit and inspection.
* Carry out all required assessments.
* Check that all test instruments are calibrated correctly.
* Arrange regular technical meetings.
* Make sure to have the latest electrical manuals
* Be responsible and available for technical help.
* Ability to travel more than ‎50% of his time.
Required Experience :
* Electrical background
* Drivers licence
* ‎10 years min in field as electrician
