Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join our academic team in Saudi Arabia at a
time of ambitious growth for the British Council across adult, young learner
and corporate English programmes in the Gulf region and specifically Saudi
Arabia. The country itself continues to undergo change making the location
appealing to international teachers and providing a good standard of living.
This teaching position will be based in Riyadh, most likely as part of a team
operating from a new location with modern, well-equipped classrooms. Teachers
are expected to work across all products and age groups and may be asked to
work at other centres in Riyadh when operational needs arise. There are
opportunities to broaden your skills by working on our growing off-site
corporate programmes or working with different young learner age groups.
The British Council supports teacher development through its performance
enablement programme, support for action research projects and presenting at
internal and external conferences, and opportunities to join internal and
external training programmes. There are regular opportunities for more
experienced teachers to take the next steps in their career by getting
involved in mentoring, tutoring or training session delivery under the
guidance of our experienced academic management and teaching excellence teams.
