The Printing Application Specialist will lead the development and growth of
the Professional Printing business across the CME (Canon Middle East) markets
by helping customer maximize the utilization of Canon printing technology
either Toner cutsheet, Commercial Inkjet, Roll to Roll, or Flatbed printers.
As a Printing Application Specialist you will help guiding customers through
the transformational journey from traditional analogue printing to digital
printing to maximize applications and print volumes in the Middle East region.

The Specialist will be responsible for supporting both Product Marketing and
Sales force, designing complete digital printing solution from prepress,
press, and post press according to customer needs and requirements. In the
post sales phase, the Specialist will lead project implementation including
customer training, application testing and sign off. The Printing Application
Specialist will provide ongoing support to major high-volume customers to
ensure maximum utilization of Canon solutions. The candidate will support
offline marketing events setting up printing workflows.
* Presales support
* Together with Sales team and Product Management team will help assessing current customer's setup and requirements and will help suggesting technical printing solutions that could achieve customer's objectives.
* Supports Sales team through proposing phase, creating technical presentations that are linked to customer business objectives.
* Carry on professional solution demonstration explaining how Canon technology will help customer business.
* Lead proof of concept and application testing either in local Middle East level or through Canon HQ.
* Support Service team through site inspection to ensure post sales smooth solution implementation.
* Post Sales
* Create solution implementation plan involving Canon sales and service teams.
* Sign off solution implementation completion with Customer.
* Train customer operators on the newly implemented solution.
* Create process and define KPIs for the newly implemented solution to the printing operation.
* Ongoing customer support
* Ensure print quality is maintained through color management procedures.
* Guide the customer optimizing print efficiency through better utilizing existing Canon and non-Canon technologies.
* Guide the customer through digital printing transformational journey.
* Propose additional workflows and processes that can help adding value to the customer.
* Events and Exhibitions
* Cooperate with Canon Middle East Product Marketing designing end to end digital printing workflow that shows Canon competitive advantage.
* Design the specification of printing applications to be shown during the exhibition including media, printing technology, and finishing.
* Support Customer solution demonstration during the event/exhibition.
* Training
* Lead sales and marketing workflow and solution training for direct and indirect sales channels.
* Lead Customer required solution workflow trainings to ensure productive print environment.
* Support pre-exhibition, training the staff supporting Canon events/exhibitions.

* Able to communicate, at times involving complex technical information, to technicians, service and marketing personnel in all Canon locations and distributors.
Previous Experience/ Education
* Technical Printing Industry experience.
* Digital Printing Experience including color management and printing workflows.
* High level of relevant knowledge and experience coupled with the ability to relate technical information to non- technical people at all levels.
* Previous experience of formal classroom training desirable, but proven coaching techniques may be an acceptable alternative (formal training to be learned).
* Fluency in written and Spoken English, Knowledge of Arabic.
* High level of written and spoken communications required.
* Professional appearance, attitude and communication style.
* Familiarity with MS Office Applications, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Other Requirements
* Current clean driving license.
* Overseas travel and periods away from home.
* Able to work on own initiative and meets targets whilst under pressure.
* Flexibility to respond to travel needs at short notice.
