Job Description
The HSE Advisor will be responsible for monitoring project contractor's
compliance with project requirements, local safety regulations and the
contractor's own SH&E plan.
* Serving as the field point of contact for monitoring and maintaining compliance with contractors' own SH&E Policies and plans.
* Undertaking daily visual inspections, reporting issues and submitting an observation report to the Contractor via project reporting system. Follow-up the close-out of same with Contractor.
* Attending site SH&E meetings.
* Submit safety inspection reports as directed by the Resident Engineer / Project Manager.
* Check SH&E requirements in method statements, risk assessments and permit to work procedures submitted by the Contractor.
* Check that all agreed SH&E standards and applicable SH&E regulations are observed.
* Check appropriate maintenance, calibration and operation of all safety equipment.
* Check site security, fire, first aid and welfare facilities and procedures appropriate to the works are provided and adequately maintained.
* Assist in the Investigation of all accidents and dangerous occurrences and report in accordance with the client requirements and AECOM procedures.
* Set a high personal example of Health & Safety at all items.
Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of related experience in appropriate discipline with special emphasis on SH&E duties.
* High level certificate, Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety or in a related field.
* Preferred designation as a Certified Safety Professional (NEBOSH/IGC)
