We are currently looking for a Senior Design Manager for our P&DS; team based
in Riyadh, for the first year and the relocating to cities in the north-east
of Saudi Arabia, KSA. The successful candidate will be responsible for
demonstrating high levels of design management in KSA, including experience
within the design, tender and construction phases of multiple types of
projects. The project is mixed-use urban development with a small element of
hospitality.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Accountable for the overall management of the design development from concept
through to detailed design for a mixed use development

Providing technical support to the construction management team during
construction.

Manage the design consultants and act as the main point of interface for the
completeness of the design and ensuring the design consultants design in
accordance with their contracts

Ensure that critical dates are met on time, within agreed cost & to technical
requirement Develop and maintain the program design teamwork to ensure the
completion of design projects in line with key dates

Ensure design is in compliance with relevant codes, standards, regulations and
requirements of local authority having jurisdiction.

Manage the design process to ensure that it is compatible with its urban
environment.

Manage the design aspects of tender process for launched during the contract
period. Evaluation of tenders, prepare tender reports and recommendations, and
selection of designer contractors.

Responsible of the multi-disciplinary coordination of the overall program
production and deliverables of a fully coordinated program documentations.

Coordinate design review activities across the entire program of works
particularly global interface points

Ensure design issues are raised, addressed and closed out in a timely fashion

Identify opportunities for optimizing design and drive value management
efforts

Monitor progress of design delivery, identify areas for improvement, and take
action to resolve outstanding issues.

Maintaining a clear picture of out-turn cost and advise accordingly. Engage
regularly with he cost consultant to review costs.

Collaborate closely with other teams and stakeholders to resolve problematic
issues

Identify and share lessons learned across all packages

Work closely with Stakeholder Manager to identify and share stakeholder
requirements

Support quality reviews of the design process

Perform all other position related duties as requested.
