Barista
The Barista prepare and serving coffee and espresso-based coffee drinks
beverages. operates different kinds of commercial coffee equipment in order to
produce select beverages; follows prescribed recipes and preparation
techniques for a multitude of different beverages; memorize drink ingredients
and specifications and be able to modify per guest request.
Essential Functions:
* Prepare and serve a selection of drip and specialty coffees from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and established Four Seasons Standards.
* Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests using the hotel's point-of-sales system; check completed orders with the guest's original order.
* Service and take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item's taste and preparation methods; maintain a working knowledge of coffee and specialty drinks.
* Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
* Clean coffee machine.
* Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items with manager assistance.
* Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
* Previous experience in fast paced Food and Beverage environment or related work experience.
* Excellent knowledge of different types of coffee beans and beverages.
* Coffee art sill.
