Parsons is seeking a Commercial Manager for a project in Riyadh. T his
position is accountable for the development of strategy and execution of
commercial management.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Provide support and guidance on all commercial issues within the projects and ensure that commercial staff attains their maximum potential.
* Interact with clients and address all inquiries related to commercial and contracts maximizing the profitability of projects.
* Payment of contractors and consultants
* Internal cost comparisons and cost projections
* Analysis of cost over-run and other implications.
* Negotiation of subcontracts.
* Preparation of contractor pre-contract work packages; manage bid process; tender analysis
* Negotiate final accounts
* Maintain payment logs, variation logs, and claims logs
* Review variation submissions
* Review construction cost reports submitted by Cost Consultant
* Draft and review contractual letters
* Review and respond to Claims
* Advice on contractual matters related to financial issues
* Ensure completeness and validity of all contractual requirements
* Ensure that quantity reconciliations are conducted accurately by the Cost Consultant
* Assist in the preparation of internal invoices
* Responsibility for all financial contractual issues arising during the course of his contract.
* Identify legitimate contractual claim situations and prepare suitable and sufficient documentation for clients.
What Skills You'll Bring:
* BSc engineering, quantity surveying, or equivalent.
* 20 years minimum overall relevant experience, with 12 years in large-scale infrastructure projects and 5 years experience in the Middle East.
* Knowledge of a wide range of contract conditions.
* Knowledge of relevant IT packages and applications.
* Knowledge of partnering contracts.
* Knowledge of traditional and design and build contracts.
* Good team player and communicator.
* Ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines
* Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
