Manage the effective achievement of the team's objectives through setting
individual objectives, managing performance, developing the team and providing
formal and informal feedback to maximize overall performance, engagement and
motivation.
Financial Accounting and Reconciliation
Design and implement the preparation and review process of consolidating
financial statements both under Saudi GAAP and IFRS (Riyal & US$) and identify
and implement 'stop gap' financial reporting system for consolidation.
Verify and review the transaction flows and set-up enabled for posting
transactions to NOMAC and sibsidiaries' general ledger and ensure that
financial accounting transactions are accurately and properly reflected in the
accounting books in accordance with accounting procedures, regulatory
requirements, and any other relevant international accounting standards and
practices.
Oversee the account payables and receivables related activities and ensure
that the payable and receivable balances are regularly reviewed and cleared
before year end.
Oversee and ensure the reconciliation of transactions and bank statements
promptly and accurately to ensure that all payments and accounts are matched
and reconciled regularly and to ensure an updated general ledger.
Carry out accurate endorsing/approvals of invoice payment authorizations,
payment vouchers, cheques, bank instructions and other related financial
documentation in order to facilitate timely processing of payments as per
defined policies & procedures.
Provide technical accounting assistance to teams at (on standards such as
leasing, contracts, derivatives, deferred taxes, consolidation, accounting for
FX, transfer pricing etc) subsidiaries as well as business development deals
including preparation of accounting whitepapers for accounting issues,
maintaining data base for technical accounting issues and contract assessments
etc.
Financial Reporting
Develop detailed financial reports for the KSA operations including budget,
key metrics, forecast, etc., in collaboration with the plants, in order to
ensure they are developed in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
Review and ensure the proper generation of monthly, quarterly, and annual
consolidated financial statements for NOMAC and its subsidiaries in KSA, in
order to ensure correct, consistent and timely submission by finance team /
subsidiaries to JVA partners, tax authorities, external auditors and senior
management.
Prepare presentations for various stakeholder including senior management,
Board Audit Committees, and Board of Directors, to provide an overview of the
financial health of NOMAC.
Month-end closing activities
Oversee and ensure the timely execution of all the closing activities for
NOMAC Holding Company / KSA subsidiaries, on a monthly basis in line with
accounting policies and procedures to ensure transactions are recorded
accurately and reflect the financial standing.
Work with the Corporate Finance Teams in debottlenecking the month end
processes in order to achieve error free and timely monthly closing.
Financial Analysis
Carry out financial analysis including trend analysis, variances, etc. and
identify rationales for them, in order to provide suitable justification to
the management.
Review various financial metrics on a monthly basis, analyse trends and
provide advice to the senior management to protect and enhance group
profitability from a long-term perspective.
Coordination
Provide support to the finance team in developing and strengthening the
local bank relationships in KSA, in order to ensure these relationships, serve
the interest of the Company.
Arrange service agreements with all subsidiaries and charge back hours
provided by team to subsidiaries through implementation of corporate wide time
sheet system.
Audits
Assist in the completion of audits for the KSA region by ensuring a thorough
review of financials and reporting of any discrepancies to ensure timely
completion of audits and implementation of audit results by the entities.
International Standards
Design and implement best practice accounting systems and processes
including closing check lists and closing processes, chart of accounts, time
sheets, financial policy manual, monthly flash reporting and analysis etc., to
ensure seamless management of financial processes.
Remain abreast with the latest IFRS and other laws and regulations in order
to ensure that work output is in conformity with accepted practices.

Ensure the implementation of financial policies, procedures and internal
controls covering all areas of activity to ensure compliance.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities of improvement and contribute to organisational and
departmental change initiatives, programmes and projects taking into account
best practice and standards in the business environment.
Health, Safety, Security and Environment
Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety, security and environmental
management policies, procedures and controls across the department to
guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible
environmental attitude.
