Job Description

Quantity Surveying & Cost Management

Position shall be seconded at Client Office

+ Prepare cost estimation of minor and major development of projects, e.g.,
rehabilitation of Public Realm, Construction of new projects.

+ Prepare BoQ for new contracts.

+ Review BoQ following the completion of construction projects.

+ Quantity estimation.

+ Assist in establishing clients’ requirements and undertake feasibility
studies to ensure their proposals will work

+ Visiting the project sites to estimate/verify the quantities at the initial
stage of projects, where drawings are not available within the Client

+ Preparation of BOQ by estimating quantities from the project site and
estimating to calculate the expected total cost of the project for Client
review and approval

+ Review the Contractor invoices by verifying the quantities from the project
site, to confirm that work has been done by the contractor

+ Liaise with the contractor and consultant to provide supporting documents
for their invoices

+ Monitor the Contractor Works and Activities performed on the project site
to maximize efficiencies, and avoid delaying the work

+ Evaluating and assessing the received proposal from different vendors,
preparing the reports, and recommending the vendors based on assessment.

+ Reviewing and approving contractor’s work estimates, change order requests
and invoices for accuracy, compile all project documents to send the client’s
approval

+ Monitoring actual quantities vs contractual quantities, properly coordinate
with the commercial manager to update about verifying the quantities and
actual site progress

+ Prepare and analyze the cost of tender

+ Managing the Database for all quotations received

+ Valuation of construction work

+ Value Engineering

+ Acting as commercial advisor and monitoring progress for the client
