Supply Chain Officer Back Office

HS and Information Protection:

Core Responsibilities and T as k s:
Import and Export Operations
* Monitor availability of Import permission and other government related approvals before materials to be ship to BASF KSA.
* Follow up and monitor shipment arrival via all modes of transportation with coordination of BASF Dubai back office and clearing agent - By air, By Sea and By Road.
* Ensure all clearance documents are complete and accurate for the clearing agent to perform on time clearance.
* Process payment of customs duty and other related government payment on time and coordinate with clearing agent.
* Monitor and track all import and export shipments by maintaining shipment tracker.
* Original Documents attestation for all CIF and DAP shipments to customer.
* Follow up on Good Receipt and ensure all materials received in warehouse on time and complete. Inform CSO in case of any damage or claim and ensure NCM is processed.
* Verification of clearing invoices and supporting documents prior to sending to finance to process.
* Regular meeting with clearing agents to discuss service level and improvements in process, if any.

Warehousing, Transportation and Value-Added Service
* Proper planning on delivery schedule and execution of transportation of materials and coordinate with warehouse and transportation companies to ensure on time and correct delivery based on customer instruction. Ensure that SDN (signed delivery note) will be received on time.
* Ensure transportation representative have complete PPE and necessary approvals to arrange for delivery.
* Supervise loading, unloading, arrange gate passes at customers restricted area and managing distribution.
* Liaise with third party service provider and ensure effective and timely update of all Logistics daily operational goals inclusive of Inventory Management.
* Sample Management.
* On Time TM (Transport Management) update in SAP to ensure customer invoicing.
* Managing customer portal- following up on GR and invoice posting in customer portal for on time payment.
* Verification of invoices and supporting documents of warehouse and transportation suppliers before sending to finance.
* Coordinate re-labelling of materials with third party warehouse upon request.
* Tracking and follow up of closing of NCM (Non-Conformance Management).

Communication
* Represents actively BASF 's interests with local customers.
* Embody and communicate the corporate values and guiding principles of BASF Group.
* Effective communication with internal stakeholders (Business Unit Sales, OTC Front and Back office).
* Reporting Consistency and Safety.
* Attend staff meetings, Jour fixe, sales meeting and alignment calls.
* Attendance ,Contribution and being a great team player.

E d u cation and Q u alifica t ion
required for t he p osition:
* Bachelor degree in equivalent majors.

Working Experience:
* ‎5 to ‎7-years' experience in Import and Export clearance, transportation and logistics.
* Business knowledge in Saudi is a must, additional Middle East regional experience is an advantage.

Technical & Professional Knowledge:
* SAP experience.

IT skills:
* Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Language skills (level):
* English - fluent.
* Arabic - is an advantage.

Ability to fly to other GCC countries and Europe:
* Not mandatory.
