Description

• The center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency at Zewail City is conducting a research project on hybrid steam generation for industrial applications. The project is in collaboration with the regional center of Renewable energy of the ASRT and is funded under the initiative Academia-Industry Partnership Program to Leverage Economic Growth (APPLE).

We are looking for a research assistant to conduct research on the modeling,
sizing, and design of solar thermal systems and indirect steam generators. The
system will be mostly purchased and outsourced and the appointed researcher
will be responsible for system installation and testing.

Other Skills

• Be knowledgeable about thermal systems.


• Have computer-aided design and flow/heat transfer/structure simulation capabilities.


• Have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to present their work at scientific meetings and in peer-reviewed journals.


• Be able to work independently and be highly motivated.

Qualifications

The position requires a BCs in mechanical engineering or a related field from
an accredited university. An MSc degree or prior experience in materials and
systems development is highly desirable.
