Job Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system.

  • Assign tag numbers to fixed assets.

  • Track projects under construction and transfer them to the related category once the related projects have been completed.

  • Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger.

  • Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets and ensure the applied rates.

  • Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.

  • Calculate asset retirement obligations.

  • Investigate the potential obsolescence of fixed assets.

  • Conduct periodic impairment reviews for intangible assets.

  • Conduct periodic physical counts of fixed assets.

  • Conduct analysis related to fixed assets as requested by management.

  • Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets, and assist the auditors in their inquiries.

  • Represent the company during any audits by a government that involve fixed assets.

  • Track company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations.


Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting major.
* CMA is a plus.
* SAP knowledge is a plus and preferred.
* Minimum ‎2-‎3 years of experience (preferably pharmaceuticals Industry).
* Must have relevant hands-on experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of fixed assets.
* Must have strong in Fixed Assets & cost accounting background and a sound understanding of IFRS.
* Advanced Excel skills.
* High degree of accuracy & efficiency.
