NATURE & SCOPE
We are seeking a Pipeline Technician with Instrument, Electrical and
Operations experience for our Jubail Area Operations Team working from the
Jubai, Saudi Arabia facailtiy. The incumbent will work independently and with
a team and uphold the highest ethical standards, consistently prioritize
safety in words and actions to protect self, others and the environment.
Working hours for this role are Sunday - Thursday, day shift with daily travel
to customer sites and limited overnight travel as needed. This role will have
on call responsibilities, sharing the duties with other technicians.
The Air Products' Qudra pipeline network provides hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen
and CO2 to the Jubail area customer base. The pipeline is ~ 100 km in total.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Read and understand P &ID's, pipeline alignment sheets, ladder logic, and wiring schematics
* Familiar with Lock out, Tag out and a safety work permit systems
* Repair and troubleshoot analog and digital instrument loops
* Understand 4-20 m/a, and 1-5v loops and Hart communications
* Understand flow measurement - differential pressure and mass flow
* Effectively use typical test and calibration equipment, including pneumatic calibrators, Instrument calibrators, dead weight testers, multi-meters, multi-function calibrators and laptops for equipment communication
* Follow precise step by step calibration and SWIM procedures
* Use computerized systems to enter and retrieve data
* Work with and troubleshoot the following: Pressure, temperature and flow measuring equipment, solenoids, limit & proximity switches, valve positioners, I/Ps, control relay circuits, and control valves
* Understand and follow the Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Safety Administration)PHMSA 192 and 195 Pipeline Code of Federal Regulations
* Understand and enforce the Air Products Qudra damage prevention program
* Understand and comply with the Air Products Operators Qualification program
* Manage contractors for various maintenance issues and project management
WORK WITH AND TROUBLESHOOT THE FOLLOWING:
* Pressure, temperature, level and flow measuring equipment-Pneumatic Controls, Solenoids - Limit & Proximity Switches, SCADA RTU's and associated equipment.
* One Call underground ticket systems
* Pipeline location, leak detection, cathodic protection equipment
* Air Products Qudra SAP system for PM's and work orders
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Diploma Graduate with a Trade/Technical degree or apprenticeship in a related field of Process or Electrical Technology, Industrial Systems, Electrical Power and Controls, Electromechanical Technology, HVAC, Machinery Engineering
* 5 years of Industrial experience with Instrumentation, Electrical and Operational experience or equivalent technical schools
* Fabrication, wiring and hook up experience of Instrumentation and Electrical equipment.
* Detail oriented and willing to document details appropriately.
* Strong troubleshooting and fault isolation skills.
* Familiar with PLC's & PLC logic - Bristol Babcock a plus but not required.
* Experience with voltage switching equipment a plus but not required.

* Must be team oriented and have a willingness to learn and further develop technical skills.
* Must be willing to take on call during nights and weekends
* SAP experience is a plus but not required
