Product Manager II

When you think of food delivery in the MENA region, we'd be pretty surprised
if talabat didn't pop into your mind first! Since delivering our first order
in Kuwait in ‎2004, we've grown quite a lot over the past ‎17 years.
Today, we deliver hundreds of millions of food orders, grocery items and other
products per year, to our customers in nine countries throughout the region
with more than ‎3,000+ employees! Our food delivery business works with over
‎27,000 brands and almost ‎50,000 branches, while our q-commerce concept,
talabat mart, now delivers groceries to customers in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan,
Kuwait, Oman Qatar, and the UAE in ‎30 minutes or less!

convenient way to contribute to important causes in their community through

well as donated over $‎1.5 million to charity with the help of our partners and

Role Summary:

Talabat Product is playing an exceptional role in the large growth of our
company. Our Product teams leverage a diverse stack to create cutting-edge
solutions which cover the full customer experience - starting with a great
online search experience and ending with a real-time delivery at your
doorstep.

What's On Your Plate?
* You'll be part of an extremely crucial team, working on a high business impact, highly complex product area.
* You'll be owning the talabat order transmission channels except POS. End to end ownership of our logistics tech stack, including all current and future integrations with 1st & 2nd party services.
* Work with multiple internal stakeholders, logistics & vendor operations teams to identify the problems/opportunities and shape the solution to increase productivity and accuracy.
* Work with many other product & tech teams across the organization, both regionally and globally.
* Work on improving all talabat current and new products used in our order fulfillment cycle.
* Own both the product discovery and delivery of your squad.
* Own the prioritization of the new products based on the impacts and values connecting with squad KPIs.
* Own your team's OKRs & roadmap, deciding on how to best achieve your objectives.
* Measure the success of the launched product and invest on the continuous improvement of the product.
* Own stakeholders communication on the new product delivery and user guide preparations.
What Did We Order?
* At least ‎5 years of experience in technical product management, or engineering management with extensive knowledge in order fulfillment systems implementations, maintenance and integrations.
* A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or in Finance is ideal but not required.
* You can communicate fluently with engineers, able to go through deep technical discussions and write requirements on API level.
* You understand the technical architecture of complex and highly scalable applications.
* You can demonstrate top "Project Management" skills. Hands-on experience with project management tools like Jira are desired.
* Experience in food delivery, ecommerce or related industry is a very strong plus.
* You have a strong understanding of Agile product management and a solid grasp of the responsibilities of empowered product teams.
* You have outstanding communication skills, verbal and written, and have no problem communicating with technical as well as non-technical stakeholders.
* You are a self-starter, relying on your users and stakeholders' feedback, as well as your understanding of the data available to you, to set your own next objectives.
* You are able to translate long-term product visions into simple, bite-sized iterations that deliver business value on an incremental basis.
* You are a leader, able to motivate your team to stay on-course and help to remove obstacles in order to achieve your goals.
* You have demonstrated a record of success inventing and launching successful features with limited supervision.
