Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Support: Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the
laundry department, including coordinating laundry schedules, assigning tasks
to laundry staff, and ensuring smooth workflow.
2. Quality Control: Monitor and maintain high-quality laundry standards by
conducting regular inspections of linen, garments, and other laundered items.
Address any issues promptly and take corrective actions as necessary.
3. Inventory Management: Collaborate with the Laundry Manager to maintain
optimal inventory levels of linen, detergents, and other laundry supplies.
Ensure stock replenishment and assist in tracking inventory usage and costs.
4. Staff Supervision: Provide guidance and support to laundry personnel,
including training, performance evaluation, and addressing any staff-related
concerns. Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and
productivity.
5. Equipment Maintenance: Assist in overseeing the maintenance and repair of
laundry equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly and safely.
Coordinate with maintenance staff or external vendors when needed.
6. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all relevant regulations, policies, and
procedures related to laundry operations, safety, and hygiene. Promote and
enforce compliance with proper handling and disposal of chemicals and laundry
waste.
7. Customer Service: Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and
accurate delivery of clean and well-pressed linen and uniforms. Address any
customer concerns or requests promptly and professionally.
8. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of laundry
operations, such as laundry volumes, productivity, inventory levels, and any
incidents or issues that arise. Prepare regular reports for management as
required.
