Job Purpose
Responsible for managing and maintaining positive and professional
relationship with partners/members and other stakeholders. Assisting all WLP
teams in creating new business opportunities making the WLP program more
attractive to members. Focusing on creating robust business plans empowering
agents increasing trade through WLP hubs.
Key Accountabilities
* Engaging with WLP members to understand the business needs and exploring opportunities for innovative trade solutions and routes.
* Organizing and leading the local and international workshops and events for DLW projects/initiatives by engaging with internal & external clients, WLP Partners, private entities and other government entities
* Planning and preparing seminars/events by communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders and identifying key personal speakers and topics for the event/seminar
* Keep track of initiatives, program and organizational operations and effectively delegating tasks to team members to ensure smooth operations are maintained
* Identifying possible benefits or improvements in the context of WLP and ensuring legal documentations like MoU's and other agreements are effective in WLP initiative.
* Assisting Business Development Team in developing business plans for projects in order to increase business opportunities and meet objectives Future Trend
* Developing business materials like presentations and other required tools/documents, and attending client meetings, trade shows, relevant exhibitions, and conferences to attract new clients.
* Support other team leads in researching, market studies, and presentations based on business and market knowledge and research.
* Collaborating with key clients for knowledge sharing, updates, and meeting reviews to improve the client confidence on WLP
* Maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information in line with DP World information security policies and procedures in order to protect information from any disclosure or misuse.
* Initiating and developing relationships with clients, recommend several solutions addressing client complaints, and identifying key contacts at potential customer companies to establish and foster relationships.
* Drafting strategic plans and proposals for business growth and identifying details on the project scope, timelines, deliverables and costs
* Assisting PM and BD team in proposing and planning project implementation phases for initiatives, products and services
* Liaising/communicating effectively with external customers and internal departments in order to meet business requirements
* Supporting customers in project planning, working with them on implementation of internal plans within the agreed scope of the assignment and ensure that objectives of the programs and organization are achieved.
* Ensuring the right documents and templates are presented to the team and understand the next steps of actions that need to be taken to meet objectives and milestones.
* Creating regular report to ensure the client is regularly updated and communicate the same to the relevant internal teams.
* Building relationships with key customers/other stakeholders and ensuring that they are advised on the company's products and services in order to increase business opportunities and meet objectives.
* Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss strategy
* Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources
* Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select the deals in line with strategies, and lead and facilitate pitch logistics
* Develop and implement overarching outbound sales and business development strategy, sales processes, structure, and best practices across the company
* Support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis; negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals
* Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations
* Managing both our existing sales pipeline and developing new business opportunities
* Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
* Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets
* Develop strategies and positions by analyzing new venture integration
* Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies, and delegate tasks that achieve strategic goals
* Motivate the team, track performance, and report metrics
* Develop strategic benefits packages customized to specific industries based of members profiles.
* Design and deploy a knowledge hub for all teams to refer back to, containing business and market trends, due-diligence studies, and trade route studies.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, finance, accounting, marketing, communications, or related fields.
* ‎3-‎6 years of experience in sales, business development or customer-oriented role.
* Proven experience in facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and innovative programs.
* Ability to listen, build rapport, and credibility as a strategic partner vertically within the business unit, as well as with leadership and functional teams.
* Ability to map joint organizational vision and long-term thinking, imagination and idea generations.
* Highly skilled and experienced at negotiating conflict and problem solving to achieve win-win outcomes at executive level.
* Exceptional ability to lead change using positive and collaborative methods.
* Setting the standard for business management.
* Ability to set expectations with business partners and effectively leverage governance for a positive business partner experience.
* Must demonstrate acumen in business and functions disciplines.
* Understand and integrate business strategies and trends in trades, technology and logistics domain to deliver value.
* Strong communication skills in writing, speaking and presenting.

* Experience working with top tier shipping companies
* Previous experience building startups
* Strong researching skills
The ideal candidate must have initiatives and has strong business judgment,
with a track record of developing teams and overall stakeholder relationship
management. Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention
to detail, and exceptional organizational skills are must. The right candidate
stays on top of industry trends and is able to execute at both a tactical and
strategic level. S/he will be responsible for building direct relationships
with executives at key government agencies, trading community, suppliers,
negotiation, developing marketing programs that drive growth, and identifying
new business opportunities. The person must be a self-starter and effective
communicator with strong leadership skills and must have experience leading
multi-layer organizations.
