  About the role:

  
  

As the Travelling Workplace Trainer- Community Services you will deliver
training and assessments in community services qualifications, often to
learners undertaking structured learning for the first time since leaving
school. You will travel extensively throughout Arnhem Land getting to
experience First Nations culture hands on, having a true two-way learning
experience.

This position is based in Darwin, but frequent travel to remote Aboriginal
communities is essential.

Responsibilities:
* Provide onsite and online workplace training adhering to ALPA quality standards
* Undertake language, literacy, and numeracy assessments
* Mentor, coach, and guide students in person or online
* Maintain electronic student management records
* Provide administration support as required by the Training Team Leader
* Assist workplace coaches to deliver quality industry training
Skills and Experience:
* Experience working in a remote community service setting
* Certificate III in Community Services or higher or willingness to obtain.
* Previous experience in delivering a broad range of training programs
* Highly effective interpersonal skills including proficient written and oral communication skills that can be adapted to meet the needs people from all education levels and language abilities
Desirable:
* Experience working with Aboriginal people in a remote environment
* Experience using an electronic student management system
* TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
