Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to manage the goods receiving, storage and
dispatching operations cost efficiently, in line with Al Ahram's standards and
to organize finished goods' transportation in compliance with Al Ahram
Beverages Company's standards and all applicable regulations.


Duties and Responsibilities
Transportation Management
* Devises an effective and efficient transportation strategy.
* Manages all OpEx and CapEx consumptions.
* Selects appropriate assets and equipment (warehouse space, forklift, racks, loading docks, etc.) to manage the warehousing business at the lowest possible cost.
* Coordinates with the Procurement Department to ensure that plans are executed on schedule and within budget, and reports any insights to secondary distribution managers.
* Performs weekly warehouse floor visits to supervise operations and provide recommendations for improvements.
Drinkies
* Serves all Drinkies locations.
* Receives customer service requests and makes arrangements to deliver products on schedule.
* Coordinates with Drinkies management to submit orders proactively in response to customer requests.
Vehicle and Warehouse Maintenance
* Ensures that vehicles are used efficiently and in a timely manner in a safe environment during the distribution process.
* Checks the trucks' conditions and monitors the maintenance schedule in accordance with Heineken transportation standards and applicable legislation.
* Maintains the warehouse as a safe workplace for both employees and visitors/contractors in accordance with all applicable safety rules and local legislation.
* Informs the quality and supply chain divisions of defective items.
Safety and Quality Assurance
* Ensures that all drivers follow and implement safety regulations, and monitors their driving performance using GPS.
* Ensures that all inventory movements are carried out in accordance with the instructions received and that they are accurately logged.
* Coordinates with governmental authorities on a monthly basis and submits required reports to guarantee compliance.
* Submits monthly safety reports to the health safety committee.
* Submits daily updates on safety, sales, and transportation.
* Monitors warehouse and transportation costs in collaboration with the distribution manager.
* Proposes and executes steps to decrease the risk of accidents/incidents/near misses/unsafe behavior in warehouse and transportation operations, as well as puts in place suitable systems for reliable and timely reporting.
Team Management
* Ensures the planning and coordination of employee shifts, as well as the allocation of resources to each storage and transportation operation.
* Develops methods to enhance truck loading and routing.
* Establishes the warehouse training plan and works with team leaders to ensure that functional duties, safety, and quality are met.
* Monitors the transportation service providers' performance of outsourced transportation tasks to ensure the required level of service and pricing.

* Follows up on employee vacations and ensures that they are entered into the system in accordance with the yearly plan (Sick leave, annual, work mission, etc.).
* Improves shop floor expertise by teaching employees on product menus and safety procedures.


Education & Experiences
Educational Background : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration is
preferable
Years of Experience : ‎3 - ‎5 years of experience in warehousing management,
distribution, and transportation planning, preferably in FMCGs.
Qualifications & Other Requirements
* Excellent command of English Language
* Skills in Microsoft (Excel & PowerPoint), Power BI is a plus
* Knowledge in ERP System like SAP preferably
