The Opportunity
We wish to complement our existing Utilities business with an experienced
Project Director for our current major project at the Rouse Hill Water
Recycling Plant. This project involves delivery of new wastewater treatment
assets as well as modifications to existing process infrastructure in a
brownfield operational site. You will lead the project team through all facets
of the lifecycle including completion of design, construction and
commissioning - all the while enhancing Fulton Hogan's strong relationship
with our blue chip client.
Key responsibilities
* Oversee the delivery of the project on time and within budget without compromising safety, quality or environmental compliance
* Provide leadership, direction and guidance to the project team in resolving complex issues
* Maintain adherence to established benchmarks of HSEQ, cost and project performance through effective commercial governance and reviews
* Oversee an effective project controls, forecasting and reporting structure to measure and communicate performance to various audiences, both internal (ie. General Manager, CEO) and external (ie. client)
* Ensure the project activities are adequately resourced taking into consideration all variables including project requirements, complexity, and budget constraints
* Liaise with key client representatives and maintain collaborative working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
How you'll connect to the role
* Tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management or other relevant field
* Extensive experience in the successful management of complex Design & Construct infrastructure projects above $50M contract value
* Experience and proven capability to work collaboratively with clients under any type of contract commercial model
* Strong stakeholder liaison skills - client relationship development and management is key
* Brownfield infrastructure construction experience (water/wastewater preferred)
