The Procurement Officer is accountable for the procurement and purchasing
aspects of the business at Midelec Power Plant.
How You 'll Make an Impact
* Support the technical departments by establishing contacts to subcontractors and suppliers obtaining quotations, carry out price negotiations and prepare purchase orders.
* Maintain close contact to client to ensure timely provision of materials and services required by Siemens Energy O&M which are under company's scope according to O&M contract, verify deliveries against Siemens Energy O&M requirements.
* Raising and maintaining all documentation related to Purchasing for the site, including purchase orders delivery notes and vendor requests.
* Support in preparing and maintaining of administrative reports related to purchasing activities and store management.
* Identify areas of potential cost savings and make suggestions for process Improvements.
* Establish Purchasing administration procedures in accordance with policy.
* Following and enforcing the company''s procurement policies and procedures.
* Preparing budgets for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies every year
* Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times and product ranges.
* Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports to management.
* Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
* Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
* Identity damaged or defective goods and work out an alternative solution with the supplier.
What you Bring
* At least ‎5 years of experience in similar role
* Bachelors in Supply Chain Management/Procurement or Business Administration.
* Experience in purchasing, procurement and SCM process and guidelines.
* Experience in SAP.
* Knowledge of contract terms and conditions.
* Experience in a power plant / industrial environment would be advantageous.
* Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
* Analytical and mathematical capabilities to compare prices and quantities and consider vendor contract terms as well as committing our company's guidelines.
* Capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing, and manage time efficiently.
* Excellent command of English language (German would be advantageous)
