NR Finance Controller

What will be my primary responsibilities in this role:
* Financial ownership of the Northern regions' legal entities and their financial statements, ensuring consistent application of accounting policies and internal controls in collaboration with world area team and various business unit finance teams.
* Preparation of the financial statements and ensure compliance with Emerson Corporate Policies and procedures and local reporting requirements.
* Report financial statements to all statutory bodies, accurately complete and in a timely manner In Kuwait and monitor the same process for Iraq and Qatar.
* File WHT returns monthly and Income tax returns annually, accurately and in a timely manner for Kuwait and monitor the same process for Iraq and Qatar.
* Provide detailed financial analysis, comparing actuals to business expectations by division and reporting any material variances thereof. This requires a good understanding of the individual business divisions, together with a focus on financial control that is implemented and adhered to.
* Preparation of quarterly accounts pack and President's Operating Report (POR) models and reporting thereof into HQ in a timely and accurate manner, with emphasis on ensuring that all reported information is supported by a good level of analysis.
* Analysis of business by division, with greater emphasis on detailing underlying trends and drivers of the divisions and providing support and information with these in mind. In total to add value to the decision making of the organization/managers i.e. in driving up profitability. Also working closely with country leaders and NR site controllers to deliver such analysis for their respective sites.
* Produce and maintain relevant supporting statistical information for the regions' entities to enable the reporting of orders, sales, headcount, leases, trade working capital ratios and other, as required.
* Review account reconciliations: validate reasonableness of account balances, ensure support for open items, document action plans, track and resolve aged items, and escalate pending issues as necessary.
* Work with Shared service centers to deliver the month end reporting to a tight reporting timetable, from JDE/Oracle to HFM/Hyperion. Reconcile to GL and ensure accuracy of month end reporting.
* Maintain good relationship & communication with below parties and help in:
* VP/GM/country leaders: update them with periodic financial results summary and variance analysis
* Business Unit and MEA HQ Finance team: collaborate on all financial and reporting matters
* Back offices (GFS & Pune): integrate them into our financial processes
* HR: processing Payroll, SEIP, final settlement
* LBP: Local Business Partners
* Ensure completion of Annual KPMG audit with nil noncompliance comments by corporate due date.
* Drive CP&P (including ICQ and ITQ) and continuous Improvement
What do I need to qualify for this role:

* Qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) and previous ‎7-‎10 years' experience with US and local reporting
* Proven ability to work with people at all levels
* Ability to manage time and work to a tight deadline and manage different priorities
* Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals
* Demonstrate high integrity and ethics in all activities
* Experience with Oracle, Hyperion and PowerBI
