Project Engineer

The project Engineer with mentorship from Lead Engineer is In charge of
technical execution of specific portions of the power and water project. The
main tasks given to Project Engineer are DCS system software installation and
power-up checks, control loops commissioning and solving, modification of
control logic and graphics, plant startup, and preparation of design and
commissioning documents. Moreover, working with customer to coordinate
technical matters, attend meetings, and do site surveys and service works on
the Ovation System.
Your role responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the
following:
Planning and management
* Along with the Lead Engineer, review the project scope and schedule.
* Assist the Project Manager in preparing progress reports for customers.
* In coordination with the Lead Engineer, prepare a site commissioning plan which includes a schedule and detailed tasks.
* Coordinate work between multiple internal and external teams and subject areas.
Customer relations
* Work with lead engineer and customer for specific technical queries, clarifications, and discussions.
* Submit design documents to the customer for review and approval. Lead customer expectations and promptly respond to comments.
* Perform Factory Acceptance tests with customers and work project team members to ensure all punch lists are closed promptly.
* Perform site commissioning activities, prepare progress reports to ensure smooth commissioning, and mentor the site team with required remote support from HQ incl. punch point resolution with the customer which may need a longer duration stay at the site.
Technical delivery
* Follow designed system architecture including DCS networks, field buses, date links to third-party devices, and cybersecurity requirements. Do required field modifications when required.
* Plan and perform a detailed site survey to collect all required information from the site.
* Perform input data review and seek clarifications from customers.
* Review field installed device specifications to identify and select required IO module types and signal converters.
* Review P&IDs and process flow diagrams to plan IO assignments to meet excess levels.
* Work with application engineers to ensure software application meets project scope. Review graphics and control strategies.
* Define the database for all third-party communication data links. Work with the customer as needed to acquire key information.
Procurement and suppliers
* Perform acceptance tests, reviews, inspections, etc. for buyout items.
* work beside the lead engineer, and evaluate technical solutions and products proposed by vendors.
* Coordinate with suppliers to verify contractual delivery of proposed solutions, products, and services.
Quality Control
* Ensure quality of engineering work.
* acquire internal design reviews which include hardware design, application and control strategies design, network design, cybersecurity compliance, process simulation design, and performance calculations design.
Proposals/Sales support
* Participate in proposal reviews, seek advice on technical queries, and provide overall support.
Perform site walk-downs to support the proposal team and define the best
solution

What do I need to be considered for this role?
Degree in Engineering (Instrumentation & Control, Electrical or Electronics)
with ‎2-‎5 years of experience in process automation projects.
Good knowledge and experience in:
* DCS/PLC/SCADA control systems
* Control Loops (‎4-20mA), field instruments (PIT, LS)
* Data link protocols: Modbus RTU/TCP-IP, IEC60870, IEC61850, OPC
