Summer Intern Program ‎2023

Whether you’ve recently finished your college education and trying to find
that “perfect fit” or about to complete your university degree and want to get
a taste of the real world, AECOM has a wide variety of Internship
opportunities available.

Responsibilities & Duties

The Intern - Project Manager will play a pivotal role in pre-contract project
delivery supporting architectural design projects following predictive project
management methodologies and be trained to carry out the following:

+ Day-to-day assistance to Senior Project Managers in the delivery of
projects

+ Assist in proposal preparation and tender submission procedures

+ Coordinate and collaborate with the Design Team

+ Prepare and manage project execution plans, organization charts and status
reports

+ Work closely and effectively with clients and internal project teams

+ Daily program management throughout the program life cycle

+ Defining the program governance (controls)

+ Planning the overall program and monitoring the progress

+ Managing the program’s budget

+ Managing risks and issues and taking corrective measurements;

+ Coordinating the projects and their interdependencies

+ Managing and utilizing resources across projects

+ Managing stakeholders’ communication

+ Aligning the deliverables (outputs) to the program’s “outcome” with the aid
of the business change manager

+ Managing the main program documentations such as the program initiation
document.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Project Management, Architecture,
Engineering or related AEC degree from an accredited University

+ Must have graduated within the last ‎12 months or graduating no later than
June ‎2023

+ Successful applicants must have a minimum ‎3.4 GPA or ‎2:1 (or equivalent)
and above

+ Candidates must be currently based in the UAE

+ If you hold a Master’s Degree, you must have started it within ‎12 months of
completing the Bachelor’s Degree in order to have continuous education

+ Methodical approach to problem solving

+ Effective time & task management and leadership skills

+ Excellent organization and verbal communication skills are essential

+ Ability to use initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently

+ Advanced in Microsoft Office

+ Software experience in industry standard project management software is
preferred

+ Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail, must be
able to demonstrate accurate report writing

+ Understanding in Gantt chart programming

The Intern Program will run from ‎26 June - ‎29 Sept ‎2023 and is your
opportunity to land a permanent position with AECOM. If your performance has
been successful, based on a mid-program review, you will be offered a full-
time role as a young professional in your field as part of our highly
