Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Inspector - Logistics to join
our team! In this role you will utilize your expertise and technical knowledge
in construction site logistics inspection, including matters relating to
health and safety. s.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Responsible for reviewing contractor's traffic management and logistics plan as well as monitoring the implementation on site according to relevant authorities' standard.
* Observes and inspects construction logistics performed by contractors, reviews traffic management and logistics plans, prepares detailed daily activity and progress reports, and participates in site coordination meetings with contractors for site improvement and safety.
* Prepares and maintains materials inventory in the designated client storage area and facilitate movement on site for receiving and releasing materials.
* Inspect and determine deviations from general compliance with approved project Logistics Management plan and contract documents; clearly and professionally inform the contractor of required corrections.
* Reviews submittals and other construction documents and recommends technical solutions.
* Regularly attends and participate in construction meetings, safety meetings/updates and project site coordination meetings.
* Monitors and documents contractor resource utilization (labor, materials, and equipment) for field changes, and time and material work and assist with negotiation of basic field construction changes.
* Verify equipment and materials installation for compliance to approved permits and NOCs.
* Maintain and update monitoring chart for logistics site issues, incidents reports, and provide updates for close out.
* While performing daily inspections, inspector will be required to ensure Parsons' project safety guidelines are being met.
* Report to the Logistics Manager and will be primarily based in the field and provide regular updates on daily site logistics activities .
* Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
* Associate degree or bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering discipline or construction related field, or a high school diploma and equivalent work experience, is required.
* 5+ years of related experience and technical qualification in construction and supervision of projects particularly in the field of logistics and HSE.
* Requires a comprehensive knowledge of logistics, engineering and construction related processes, as well as industry practices.
* Must possess excellent verbal and written communication in English and preferably Arabic.
* Proficiency with basic computer usage, Microsoft Office, Project Management Software.
* Current UAE driver's license, safety program certificate such as NEBOSH, environmental management certificate, first aid certificate
