An experienced, hands-on, marketing manager who can establish, manage, and
lead marketing and events using the latest and most modern tools and
techniques. The candidate will work closely with internal departments to
propose solutions to ensure our brand remains front of mind across the region.
The candidate must be fluent in English and Arabic, and capable of speaking
and writing in both languages, with experience in drafting and reviewing
content for a variety of platforms. The candidate must also have extensive
experience across all marketing and communications channels including digital
platforms, and be adept at building collaborative cross-team relationships and
managing third-party agencies to deliver marketing ROI. The chosen candidate
will be experienced in managing a team to develop creative solutions and
completing a project from start to finish. Key Responsibilities:
Marketing:
* Demonstrate an understanding of the news landscape and our competition and show an understanding of the MENA region and how to create effective Marcomms campaigns across the different countries.
* Be the focal point for all marketing activities including ATL, BTL, and TTL.
* Develop and deliver campaign plans to promote brand awareness, as well as awareness of our content and presenters.
* Plan, book, and execute all digital campaigns (social media & online Ads) aligned with business KPIs.
* Optimize digital campaigns to achieve the best rates and results.
* Stay up-to-date with digital media developments.
* Act as the brand owner and guardian for Sky News Arabia and any of its assets.
* Suggest and implement marketing methods to support achieving the commercial targets and increase profitability.
* Plan and track the annual marketing budget across all the marketing activities.
* Monitor ROI and KPIs in all activity at all times.
* Coordinate the creation of creative content and liaise with the creative team/agencies for the brand and marketing campaigns.
* Liaise with the media buying agencies to deliver the advertising campaigns.
* Liaise with the Editorial team to execute the business objectives and support Editorial KPIs.
* Work closely with Commercial team on obtaining and executing strategic media partnerships.
* Drive ideas and propose solutions to ensure our brand remains front of mind across the region.
* Support the SNA Academy in developing and executing marketing and PR campaigns focused on driving awareness, strengthening brand positioning, and promoting courses across the region.
EVENTS AND ACTIVATIONS (end to end)
* Maintain an annual events calendar of events and awards that Sky News Arabia could participate in.
* Manage the brand's partnerships with the different entities and events across the region in liaison with the Commercial team (where applicable).
* Liaise with the events agencies, supplier, and relevant internal departments for the design and execution of the events and fully manage the implementation on the ground.
* Monitor ROI and KPIs in all activity at all times.
Key Skills, Experience and Education:
* BA degree in communications, marketing, digital media, or relevant field.
* Minimum 8 years of proven experience planning and executing marketing campaigns, digital marketing and large-scale events.
* Experience in all channels of marketing online and offline. Experience with visual communication principles.
* Excellent analytical, attention to detail, and project management skills.
* An ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines.
* Strong verbal, spoken, and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
* Friendly, flexible, outgoing, team player, and maintains a positive attitude.
* Experience in PR and media relations is preferable.
